Received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Cal Poly Pomona followed by a Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law. Admitted to the California Bar in 1974 and the Colorado Bar in 2014.

 

Began practicing law full time in 1984 with services offered in wills & estate planning, adoptions and a broad range of business law services. Merged law practice into Schmiesing Blied Stoddart & Mackey in 2000. Formally changed licensing status to “inactive” in California in February 2014 in preparation for admission to the Colorado Bar in May 2014. Opened office for the practice of law in Colorado in August 2014.

    Executive Vice President, Omnimedical (NASDQ traded company)

    President & Executive Director, Nightlight Christian Adoptions

 

Current member of Board of Directors of Nightlight Christian Adoptions and Every Child Has A Name. Member of Christian Legal Society. President of Save Adoptions, a non-profit adoption advocacy organization. Past President of Academy of California Adoption Lawyers. Past instructor at Webster University and presenter for various legal continuing education programs.

 

After being widowed in 2016, I was blessed to find a new partner and married Kay Stoddart in 2019. I have 4 children and 8 grandchildren.  I am an Evangelical Christian and member of Faith Evangelical Church in Loveland, Colorado.
